Bella Poarch was born in the Philippines on February 9, 1997 to her natural Filipino parents. She was adopted when she was three by her grandmother who was a slum dweller. Her adoptive parent is an American white with military training, while her mother is Filipino. She says her adoptive brother and she suffered abuse from the time she was a child up until the time she enlisted. Her family and she moved to Texas at the age of 13 because her father needed bypass surgery. They spent a few weeks there in San Francisco with her aunt. Her mother claims that the physical attack was less severe, however she still dealt with her father's mental abuse in her home. In the year she turned 18, Poarch enlisted into the United States Navy. Poarch was the first to join TikTok in the month of April, 2020 which quickly gained traction. The site grew to over 40 million fans within less than 8 months. Her videos were uploaded in a variety of formats, however her biggest hit was a video for MillieB's cult hit track Soph Aspin Send. It became one of TikTok's most popular videos. The clip zoomed in to show her dancing rhythmically, as well as lip-syncing with the song became a viral hit. After joining TikTok Poarch created a YouTube account and a Twitter one in order to boost the fame of her. Poarch attained her height of fame around December.
